Regarding the three lights at the front of the building that are too small and have huge gaps around the fittings - what happens when water gets in behind them into the infrastructure?

The board is entrusted with overseeing a multi-million dollar asset and maintaining the common elements in top-notch condition so the building doesn't deteriorate. They should be anticipating problems such as this, especially when brought to their attention by multiple owners.

We are told to report any deficiencies or building problems to Anil which is totally ineffective because Anil doesn't appear to act on anything as far as I can see.

I agree about the lights at the front of the building and also the post about the garbage room on the main floor.
The board needs to address these issues if they want this to be a "High End" building.

Does anyone know why we seem to have rotating faces at the concierge desk? Where did Dorjay go this summer? Where is Paul? What happened to the name tags that we requested that our employees wear so that we could get to know them? Why were people working double shifts during the last 2 weeks?

Paul has been working double shifts at time+1/2 for three months. He is on vacation in Russia and hopefully will return in three weeks unlike Dorjay who went on vacation never to return. I seem to recall someone forecasting problems with maintaining 24/7 in-house staffing when our board implemented the April changes. Other than an initial improvement in building security I fail to see any benefits.
As the new system continues to unravel we will continue to see unfamiliar personnel and have other associated issues develop.
Being a concierge at the Clairmont may be the most monotonous job on the planet and is no long-term plumb for someone in their prime.

We should have stayed with the contracted security service instead of bring it in-house. Anyone who works in HR or runs a business knows this is a major undertaking. I believe the thinking was that we would have more control over quality. You can still get quality from an agency - just insist on what you pay for. Now the board has to deal with employee issues which takes time from other important things that need to be done.

We are now entering the cooler weather and those heat pump issues will arise again - wonder if they will get attended to this year...?

October comment

Who has sanctioned this petition about the liquor licence for the Fixx Cafe? One of the concierges told me to sign it saying residents didn't want the cafe. I asked which residents? Is it a particularly informed group? Is it the Board? What are the reasons? Would someone like to explain this? If there is truly a major concern, should the Board not call an adhoc informational meeting and prepare an informed and specific petition for signature by the residents. The one presented is a fill in the blanks one. It is ridiculous to have a petition without a rationale.
Also, why is a concierge presenting anything of Board and resident concern to residents? Why is there no email or communication from the Board and/or Anil, our property manager, about a pressing condominium issue?
